HENRYETTA, OK – City Manager David Bullard announced today the appointment of Joey Cantrell as Interim Chief of Police for the Henryetta Police Department, effective April 1, 2026.

“We are pleased to have Joey Cantrell step into this vital leadership role,” said City Manager David Bullard. “His experience will provide a steady hand during this transition.”

In conjunction with the interim appointment, the City is officially opening a competitive search for a permanent Chief of Police. The City is seeking a leader with a minimum of ten years of law enforcement experience, including supervisory leadership. The application period remains open through May 1, 2026.
